Zwrotnik Festival – Grzegorz Kłak & Magda Koniecka: The Crown of Polish Mountains in the dark
Guests of the Zwrotnik Festival, “Greg and Meg,” are a duo who can energize absolutely anyone to get out there and take action. The blind mountaineer proves that “impossible” is just a slogan — everything happens in our minds and depends solely on our determination.
Their version of the Crown of Polish Mountains is a story about determination, fighting spirit, and the everyday life of a blind person who strives to fulfill their passions and dreams. But it is also a story about partnership, challenges, and exploring the world with all the senses. Each of the peaks that make up the Crown of Polish Mountains has its own history and memories associated with it by our guests. Immerse yourself in them together with Grzegorz and Magda.
Grzegorz Kłak is a mountain hiking enthusiast and the first blind person to conquer the Crown of Polish Mountains. He is a member of the Polish national team in golf for people with disabilities, hunts for sunrises and moonsets, devours sweets, and challenges his fears and anxieties by, among other things, skydiving. He is a massage therapist by profession, whose patients call him a magician (because he gets them back on their feet) and whose friends describe him as an icebreaker because he always pushes forward.
Magda Koniecka is Grzegorz's life and mountain partner and helper. She loves walking in forests, meadows, and fields. She is a fan of Chopin's music and blissful silence—perhaps because she works in a noisy school every day?
