Stowarzyszenie Gmin Uzdrowiskowych RP is a nationwide organization associating communes of a similar nature and operating profile, which has health resorts or health resort protection areas in their area or aspire to obtain the status of a health resort.
The Association provides numerous consultations and supports the processes of obtaining the status of a health resort or an area of ​​health resort protection in communes where it is possible to establish a health resort.
SGU RP is assigned many tasks related to representing the interests of spa communes, both at the national and international levels. The Association conducts advertising, promotional, and marketing activities in Polish spas, and also undertakes activities for the protection of health, physical culture and sport, recreation, environmental protection, preventive health care, spa treatment, tourism, spa tourism, spa, wellness, and beauty.
The Association pursues its goals by taking actions to ensure the proper psychophysical development of a person; popularizing spa treatment, tourism, sport, and physical recreation as elements of a healthy lifestyle; publishing its own publications; cooperation with institutions and organizations with related tasks in the country and abroad, and participation in the creation of law within the scope determined by the objectives and tasks of the association. Stowarzyszenie Gmin Uzdrowiskowych RP gained legal personality on the basis of registration with the Court in 1991. The President of the Management Board is Dr. Jan Golba.
