What is spa treatment?
It is a process based on natural factors and ancient traditions integrated with modern medicine. There is a stereotype in society that spa treatment is only for sick, elderly, or injured people, but spa treatment is also needed and beneficial for people of all ages: children, adults, and seniors. Because each person is a unique individual whose body, regardless of age, needs a break to strengthen the body and relax the mind.
Spa treatment is guided by three main principles: a holistic approach to the human body, taking into account the whole person - body, mind, emotions, and behavior - and not only the symptoms that the body sends. A cognitive approach is also used, which considers a person's thoughts, mood, behavior, feelings, and bodily sensations as integral parts of the body that interact with the environment, affecting the physical body, and have a direct impact on the healing process. Healing programs
Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija offers its guests a wide range of wellness programs, which includes accommodation in a room, 3 meals a day and a doctor's consultation, 3-6 healing procedures a day (the number of treatments varies depending on the selected program). Children coming with their parents are also welcome in the medical spa and can take advantage of medical treatments. For people who have recovered from the COVID-19 virus and want to recover quickly, a special treatment and rehabilitation program of the spa was introduced in 2021.

Treatments
After selecting one of the treatment programs, the first step is a medical consultation, during which the health condition is assessed, and then 3 to 6 most effective treatments are selected daily: therapeutic gymnastics, massages, mud and water treatments, physiotherapy, and relaxation. All treatments are interrelated, complement each other and strengthen the therapeutic effect, therefore the best effects are obtained by integrating them. The treatments not only have a profound effect on our bodies and problem areas but also on our thoughts and feelings. Some treatments strengthen the muscles, while others relax, stimulate circulation, relieve pain, positively affect the body, improve the quality of sleep, help reduce stress, anxiety, etc. In a health resort, time is of the essence – coming for a few days is unlikely to significantly improve your health. Why? Since the body needs time to adapt, relax and start regenerating, it is recommended to choose a spa treatment lasting 5 to 10 days to experience the measurable benefits of the treatment and improve your health.

Druskininkai spa
It is like a separate small wellness town, located some distance from the city center and surrounded by beautiful nature. Spa in Birštonas
Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija in Birštonas is surrounded by pine forests and the Nemunas flows nearby. It is a complex located in the city center, consisting of four interconnected blocks of flats and a treatment center. Here, guests of the spa can comfortably reach any place without going outside, therefore only the level of comfort is offered to guests. The health resort has a complex of swimming pools and saunas, a SPA center, a unique Amber SPA zone, a buffet with mineral water, a canteen serving buffet catering, cafes, conference rooms, a playroom for children, relaxation zones, and a modern library system, a gym and outdoor facilities - courts tennis courts and a children's playground. Fresh and mineral water is used in the complex of swimming pools and saunas. Here you can use underwater massage jets, relax in hot tubs, and improve your health in saunas with different temperatures and humidity, steam baths, and infrared saunas.
